40 Days for Life- Falls Church Final Report

Nov. 10, 2021, 4:09 p.m.

Thank you

Thank you for coming out to pray for the end to abortion and to help the individuals going into Falls Church Healthcare Center (FCHC).

Your prayers have changed lives, in both ways that we know and ways we will never know.

Lives Saved

As of last Sunday, October 31, 2021 588 lives have been saved, that we know of, with this campaign. 3 of those lives where here in Falls Church.

The first life was on September 24, 2021 when the two Mikes, dedicated pro-life warriors, decided to cover a full 12 hours at the 40 Days for Life prayer vigil in Falls Church.

The second was on Friday, October 8, 2021, Bill was praying in front of Falls Church abortion center.

The third was on Saturday, October 23, 2021, Maureen was praying outside FCHC when she saw an SUV slowly turn on to Greenway Blvd. and slow down. They hesitated about going into the FCHC parking lot and chose instead to go into the 7-11 parking lot across the street. Maureen approached them and gave them information about local pregnancy help centers and urged them to skip their abortion appointment and go to the PRC. They thanked her and closed the window. She went back to praying. They entered the FCHC parking lot and went around to the back of the building. Maureen was saddened that they decided to go through with the abortion. A short time later they left the parking lot. The woman was reading the brochure Maureen gave her and looked up and smiled at Maureen. They did not return.

There was one other life that we suspect was saved. On Saturday, October 23, two people were praying looking at the back parking lot. A couple drove in and parked. They spoke in their car for a while glancing at the people praying. They left without going into the building or speaking to the prayer warriors.

There was another situation where we don’t know what happened. During the late afternoon on October 16, a young lady pulled into the parking lot in front, saw us praying, and kept making the sign of the cross while she was in the car. When she got out, we asked if she was going in and if she wanted to talk/needed our help - she said no and seemed surprised when we said they perform abortions in this place. It was raining by this time. She got back into her car and said she was going to drive around the block, but she just pulled out to the side street and park. Ann went over to talk with her and learned that she was there to pick up her friend. Ann told her about Project Rachel and asked her to tell her friend about it if she did have an abortion. The young lady parked in front again and got out of her car, accepted an umbrella from Ann, and chatted for awhile - then she went to the door and talked with two escorts. She told Ann that the escorts went to her friend's room and no one was there - so the young lady said goodbye and left - still unknown as to what happened.

National Guard

National guardsmen have been spotted bringing women dressed in Afghan garb into the building at 900 S. Washington St. When asked if they were taking the women in for abortions the comment was “I take the 5th. This happened twice.

Participation has been outstanding this campaign, especially on Fridays and Saturdays. Father Scalia and the St. James parishioners have been starting us off on Saturdays with prayers at 6:30 in the morning in front of the building. Seton High School, St. Veronicas, Nativity, Holy Spirit, St. Philip, George Mason, Christendom College and many others have come out in groups to pray as well as individual prayer warriors.

Until Next Time

Abortions happen all year long. Consider coming out for an hour a month between 40 Days for Life campaigns. There will be a special 2-day vigil on November 30-December 1 from 7 AM to 7 PM to pray while the Supreme Court hears arguments in the Dobbs v Mississippi case, which has the potential to overturn Roe v Wade.

Thank you for working and praying to save lives.
